adj.  This Chinese character resembles a gloomy face, primarily meaning “bright”, but nowadays it is a popular Chinese character/pictogram often used on the Chinese-language Internet to show how one is embarrassed, shocked, amused, or stupefied.

A guy had a fight with his girlfriend. He called her preparing to apologize and when the call finally went through after ringing for a long time…

Woman: “Sorry…”
Man (very excited but pretending to be calm): “You finally realized you were wrong.”
Woman: “…the number you have dialed is not in service at this time.”
Man: “…”
