翻牌 [fān pái]

翻牌 [fān pái] n. To flip the name plates. In ancient China, the emperor chose who to serve him at night by flipping the name plates of consorts. It is now a metaphor for being responded by someone you admire (such as your favorite star) on Weibo or being chosen to meet with him or her.
